So I blogged to you all about how my "Life After Dance " has been. For you that missed it I'll just summarize it right now. Basically I said that I enjoyed working behind the scenes in entertainment rather than being in front of the camera dancing as I was once use to and that I wasn't catching a break when I decided to move to the Bay area to pursue my goal of working in entertainment production. Toward the end of the blog I stated that I would now put matters in my own hand and start my own entertainment production company. Well my "Rise and Grind" blog readers I have AMAZING news!
Well I'm having a great start with the starting of my entertainment production company. I have a few scripts and story boards made that are ready to be filmed and I have TONS of friends and family that are willing to help and participate with me in these. Take it from me, when you have close friends and family that believe in you there isn't a better feeling then that. Oh the AMAZING news doesn't end there people. A few weeks ago I applied for a Production Assistant position for the Stern Grove Music Festival. I'm sure you are scratching your head wondering what that is so I will be happy to tell ya. The Stern Grove Music Festival is a free admission music festival that plays every summer in San Francisco near the Golden Gate Bridge. This years line up has the San Francisco Orchestra, Shelia E & Family, Sly Stone, and Anita Baker. With a line up like that you know this is a serious job here folks. Well I had an interview with them last Friday and I got the phone call a few hours ago asking if I was interested in the position. Well of course I took the position! As soon as she mentioned those words if I was interested all I heard in my head was the intro to Journey's class song "Don't Stop Believing" As soon as I got off the phone I yelled out! I lost my mind! Just to know that my struggle is finally coming to an end is just mind blowing to me! AND THE AMAZING NEWS DOESN'T END THERE PEOPLE! Starting last week I volunteered at the Fairyland in Oakland as an Event Coordinator. This morning I was giving the opportunity to help organize their annual Gala event. The event is pretty serious too. I'll put it to ya like this. Tickets cost 115.00 each folks. Yea they are bout their paper there I see. Well not to toot my own horn but I worked very hard today so hard that the person I reported to actually has their own Event Managing company and asked me to keep in touch with her because she wants to offer me a position with in here company as an Event Coordinator! Yea that's right people I got 2 job offers in one (excuse my French) MUTHA FUCKIN DAY! So with that being said I just want to tell people to never ever stop reaching for the stars. Keep up at what you want to do in life. Never lose focus and stay positive. If I can make it I know you can too. Much love goes out to Journey for always telling me to "Don't Stop Believing" A person is smart, people are dumb.

Woo hoo! Proud of you!
